The ‘OUCH!’ update
From Beta to outdated. A comment on how busy things have been.
Since the launch of fluffDESIGN, there have been a number of things (below and more) I wanted to do here, but other priorities came ahead of my vanity. Now, sufficient time has passed that what I want to do here is so considerable that ‘here’ is no longer a sufficient vehicle for them.
Accordingly, a new fluffDESIGN is currently in rough in the playground.
I’m looking forward to opening the gate and ushering it out into the real world…
Previoulsy on this post…
It’s BETA–time here. Why? Because we’re prioritising client work over polishing up this place. Totally irresponsible…

Tsk, tsk, we should SHAPE UP and GET ON with…
…some of the final touches
- Fill all the links in the footer (like the ‘Sitemap’, etc).
- CSS: pare down, clean, add print and mobile style sheets, add a little documentation, validate. More on this hobby-horse under ‘Pimp my CSS’↓
- PHP: tidy & add a little documentation.
- HTML: tidy, validate.
- General writing, add some, remove some, improve some.
- In Writings, hack out many un–used categories and add several pent–up pieces that have been waiting in the wings.
- Design, finish the favicon, tiny polishes.
- SEO: run through some basics and a few extras.
We know there are some loose ends to be trimmed and as soon as work allows, that stuff will be polished to the shine you see elsewhere here.
Pimp my CSS
As CSS is an area I both enjoy (for itself and more importantly for the benefits it delivers) and pay particular attention to, it is ironic that currently I am a little embarrassed by the CSS on my own site.
The explanation is simply that we had a lovely spark of inspiration toward the latter stages of our re-brand and as a consequence the CSS under here is not as trim or tidy or deft as it will be when we return to do a bit of housekeeping (an excellent, grovelling apology).

Mon Sep 17 2007 at 12:28 pmNice site, keep it up! :-) (Can I see the non-colour one now?)
Tue Dec 4 2007 at 5:12 am@waf - you got me. The colour won’t really drain away =;-)
But now I say that.., it would be easy to adjust the CSS based on the presence of a comment… Hm. A project-ette for a rainy day.
Tue Dec 4 2007 at 7:05 pmchecking to see where the cogs will come from and where all the color will go. :)
Mon Apr 14 2008 at 7:20 am@Mahdi — all will be revealed when fD is re–launched…
